A Rose is a Rose: special tribute to a fine citizen.
Alberta has many wild roses to its credit but Kimberley has the rarest of them all.
On a recent trip to attend my nephew, Mathew Nesbitt’s wedding, I was invited to golf on July 10th at your magnificent Bootleg Gap course. Members Dr. David Urban and his wife Gloria, friends of Dr. John Nesbitt, all of Cranbrook were my hosts. We had a wonderful game in a beautiful setting.
Later that evening I realized to my horror that my diamond bracelet was missing. Many frantic phone calls were made to no avail.
Kimberley’s Rose Souter found my bracelet the next day on the 13th hole and turned it in at the pro shop. Kimberley, be proud; your Rose is a very special rose! Her honesty and integrity restore one’s faith and confirm that there are good people. I hope to meet Rose in person during my next visit to the Kimberley area. I hear she is a great person and a mighty fine golfer too.
An appreciative visitor just passing through,
Lynn Clark.
