Lillith Affair was begun by the Steppin Out Dancers, who put considerable energy into it each year.

It’s coming up on February 4, 5 and 6, 2010, and will be celebrating its tenth anniversary.

It is of course, Lillith Affair, the all-female celebration of talent and the arts, held each February at Kimberley’s Centre 64. Tickets are on sale and rumour has it, Friday and Saturday are already sold out and Thursday is going fast. Remaining tickets are available at Natural Attractions in the Platzl, Soul to Sole in Marysville, and Lotus Books in Cranbrook. Patrons are invited to bring a donation of women’s products for the Kimberley Helping Hands Food Bank.

The Thursday show was added because of the tenth anniversary. The Steppin Out Dancers conceived of the idea of a show for women by women, and it has been a hit every year.

The Steppin Out Dancers have always supported the arts with proceeds from the show, and this year will be giving partial proceeds to the Centre 64 Expansion Committee.

Doors open show nights at 6:30 p.m. for pre-show refreshments, and be sure to check out the new exhibit, the Art of Dance in the Center 64 gallery. There will be a special anniversary cake served at intermission.

About the Steppin Out Dancers:

Kathy Clarke, Linda Douglas, Veronica Paauw, Cheryl Olson, Lori Pasiechnykk, Stephanie Chale, Wendy Nowicki, Deli Christenson, Mary Doris Shewan, Cynthia Peacosh and Diane Manson have been kicking up their heels as the Steppin Out Dancers since the 1980’s. A familiar sight at many Kimberley events and parades ever since, the Dancers have always supported the arts in Kimberley.
