The International Paralympic Committee Alpine Skiing and Telus join forces to bring the Noram to Kimberley Alpine Resort. Sanctioned by ACA (Alpine Canada Alpin), this year’s race is scheduled for Feb. 9 through Feb. 12.

Above, College of the Rockies student Luke Donovan competes in last year’s North American Cup downhill at Kimberley Alpine Resort.

The event consists of two days of downhill training runs starting Wednesday. There will be two official downhill races on Thursday, and two Super G races on Friday.

Kimberley Alpine is hosting more than 40 Para-athletes from eight countries. Some of our Canadian entries include Donovan, Sam Daniels, Jeff Dickson and Melanie Swartz. These athletes have just returned from competing in the World Cup circuit in Europe and are using this race as a tune up from the Paralympics in Whistler next month.

Join us at the Kimberley Alpine Resort and cheer our Paralympians in their quest for gold.
