Successful sale

The Kimberley Helping Hands Food Bank wound up their summer fundraising with their annual garage sale at the curling rink last Saturday.

The sale was a success once again as Kimberley residents proved they love a garage sale.

Stan Salikin reports that the day grossed about $5500. That includes proceeds from fall raffle ticket sales and the barbecue, but the majority of it was the garage sale.

“It went really well,” Salikin said. “Our donors were excellent and we’d like to thank them. They are the ones who made the sale. We’re extremely pleased with the results and thank everyone for their continuing support.”
