Kimberley asked to support Cranbrook Relay For Life

If your life has not been touched by cancer, consider yourself lucky. Friends, family, or co-workers, we have all experienced the impact of cancer. In fact, Cancer picks a fight with another Canadian every three minutes. Well, we are fighting back! Both Cranbrook and Kimberley have hosted Canadian Cancer Relay for Life events for many years, and this year are combining both to create a larger than life Cranbrook/ Kimberley Relay on Saturday, May 28. The event is held at the College of the Rockies Track and runs from 10am - 10pm with good fun, lots of entertainment and activities and great food all day long! Relay For Life is an opportunity for the citizens of Cranbrook and Kimberley to celebrate survivors, remember those lost, and fight back against this disease.

The Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life is a 12 hour event where teams of up to twelve take turns walking or running around the track to show their support for those affected by cancer. Team members are challenged to raise $100 each to aid the Canadian Cancer's Society's mission in the eradication of cancer.

One of our goals for this event is to better involve local businesses in team participation. In addition to raising money for a terrific cause, the Relay for Life provides an opportunity for your workplace to build teamwork and promote employee health and wellness through this walking/running event. We encourage teams to dress up and decorate their team tent sites so it is also opportunity to showcase your brand and community spirit by coming out and joining us!
