In my last Scoops and Scrapes we had the Kimberley quiz. Here are the answers:
1. McDougall Hall, KP Hall, Moose Hall, Elks Hall, Union Hall.
2. The Continental Barber Shop owned by the one and only Keith Martin.
3. Super Stop closed Sunday, September 29, 1968.
4. The Royal Q opened May 3, 1965, the Magistrate W.E. Leaman cracked the first set of balls.

6. The Kimberley Amusement Centre was called the Arcade.
7. The Sportsman Hotel was owned by Joe Pozzi and burned down January 11, 1968.
8. The Travellaire Motel was built and ready to go October 22, 1969, owners were George and Wayne Crowe.
9. Johnson's Minit Mart opened in 1978.
10. The first registered resident of KImberleys Special Care Home was Herb Stanton (1976).
11. Gray Pass opened officially July 1, 1991.
12. Ray and Clem Casavant took over the Canadian Hotel in 1976. The slogan Where Sportsmen Meet, Ron Daigle and Bittersweet Country played the opening.13. Terry White's car was Purple Haze. It ran E modified, took three years to build, cost $4000, and Larry Griswold drove it, and Larry Tames owns it.
14. Super Value came3 into being June 1960, owned by Chris Sorensen.
15. The 1962 Hobbs Tournament was won by the St. John's Indians. There is something about the Indians winning ball tournaments.
16. The new traffic light system went in on Ross and Wallinger August 17, 1965.
17. The Kimbrook Apartment s cost $700,000, with 57 units.
18. In 1969, Prince Philip came to town.
19. The beer went up from 20 cents to 25 cents in 1971.
20. Natural Gas came in Kimberley in 1962.
Also to note, the picture I said was Our Place and the Royal Bank was wrong. Those who know would say the Bank of Montreal and now the Gilded Goat. I though I had you.
