Kimberley, BC - On Saturday, October 1 at 7:30 pm, cellist Jeff Faragher presents the 'LaCafamore String Quartet' in an evening of fine music for strings.

The La Cafamore String Quartet is in its 4th season as a performing group and is enjoying high praise from audiences across the West Kootenays. The Quartet members are violinists Carolyn Cameron of Rossland, and Angela Snyder Front Royal, Virginia, violist Alexis Moore of Crescent Valley, and cellist Jeff Faragher of Nelson. Each member of the group is a highly trained and experienced performer, and since coming together they have grown to develop a sound that is both rich and exciting. The Nelson-based group is branching out this year and bringing their magnificent program to the East Kootenays in order to support and promote musical exchange between the communities of the Kootenays.

The program will include Beethoven's String Quartet Op. 18 No. 6, Steve Reich's 'Different Trains,' Debussy's String Quartet in G Minor and Puccini's 'Crisantemi.' The group will also speak to the audience about these works to encourage a more interactive experience.

This event will take place at the Kimberley United Church, located at 10 Boundary Street. Tickets are $20.00 for adults, $15.00 for students (18 and under) and $50.00 for families. Tickets are available in advance at Sprout Grocery or at the door. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to experience this musically rich tapestry of sound.
